U.S News & World Report has released its “50 Best Careers,” and among the best are court reporters. According to the report, court reporting is expected to grow at an annual rate of 18% by 2018, with a median salary of almost $50,000. What I found particularly interesting in this report, however, is that growth in the court reporting field is primarily fueled by the need for live T.V. captioning services and transcription services for the hearing impaired.
