Sync Twitter And Facebook With ‘Twitter FB App’

Many – if not most – Facebook users also have a Twitter account, and vice versa.  Until recently, however, if you wanted to update your status on Facebook and Twitter, you had to first go to one, do your update, then go the other and update.  This process was cumbersome and time-consuming, considering that the same information was being put on both services.

Now, you can automatically update your status on both Twitter and Facebook with the ‘Twitter FB App.’  The first step is to go to your Facebook account and sign in.  Once you have signed in, at the bottom of your screen, you should see a bar containing a link called Applications.  The link has a Facebook “F” icon near it.  Click on that link and you will gain access to a variety of apps available on Facebook, including the Twitter App.

Once you click on the Twitter App, a screen like this one will prompt you to enter your Twitter account information:

Log in with your Twitter username and password, and from there, you will be asked if you want Twitter to automatically update Facebook.  Click the button that says “Allow Twitter to Update Your Facebook Status,” as shown on the screen shot below:

That’s about all there is to it – you can sync these two powerful services in about 30 seconds to 1 minute and say goodbye to having to update them separately. If this still seems confusing, you can link to a YouTube video here that explains the process.

One caveat:  If you decide to sync your Twitter and Facebook accounts, the care you should exercise when posting information to either of them multiplies because it will be instantly broadcast over the two most popular social networking sites on the Internet.
