As some of you may already know, telecommunications giant, AT&T, filed a lawsuit recently against emerging near-giant, Verizon, over Verizon’s ‘Map for That’ ad. Although AT&T wanted the ads pulled, their lawsuit has flown back in their face.
This morning, the Twitter world is “a-tweet” with the news that AT&T’s lawsuit has caused the ‘Map for That’ ad to go “viral.”
According to an article posted on “Advertising Age,” the ‘Map for That’ ad has rocketed back onto the viral video charts at number 7, with 500,000 views. For those of you who are interested, you can view the ad here.
Let’s all show AT&T how thankful we are that they employ such generous lawyers, always willing to lend the little (well, ok, the littler) guy a helping hand with free advertising efforts like civil lawsuits. Tweet and re-tweet about AT&T’s generosity, if you are fan like me. Heck, it’s almost Christmas time, so why not check out this little Verizon gem based on “The Island of Misfit Toys.”
