Do you have a need to keep track of state legislative activities? If so, you have probably discovered that this is not the easiest research task you will ever perform.
In the past, state legislative materials have been a mish-mash of records the extent of which often seemed determined by the state in which one was researching. To make matters worse, the print materials, when they existed, were anything but user-friendly.
Now, there is an online resource called the Legislative Information Service of America (LISA), which can be used to track legislative outcomes in all 50 states. It has actually been around for about a month now, so it should be well up and running. For those of you who need to do this kind of work, LISA should be a welcome addition to your online research repertoire.
